i've been better

I spent the weekend being sick.

Obviously not on purpose. And by 'weekend,' I mean Friday - Sunday, with a little bit of a carryover to today. Ick.

I'm rarely sick, thank goodness. And as things go, this was more a minor irritant than a reading-last-rites type of illness. But it was still pretty unpleasant. Coughing. Sniffling. Sneezing. Gagging. Nauseau from the nasal drippage. Headache.

Because it doesn't happen often, I tend to be very impatient when I am ill. I want to take some medicine and wake up the next morning back to normal, which is complicated by the fact that I can't take most of the OTC cold remedies out there because of a heart ailment I have. So, I suffer along, grumpy and stuffy.

I spent Friday sticking to my room as much as possible to stay away from the baby. I did pretty much the same thing on Saturday. Sunday was a little better, but I still skipped a pizza & movie afternoon out with Soriority so as not to chance sharing my germs with any of them.

Feeling better this morning, I decided to be be all eco-friendly and take the bus to work. The guy next to me picked his nose. And then put his finger in his mouth.

So much for not feeling naseaus.
